Retrospective priority service introduced for spouse visa applications

Amid widespread delays, the Home Office has introduced a new Priority Visa service for applicants with an outstanding family entry clearance application.

Applicants will be contacted in order (starting with the oldest applications first) with an offer to upgrade to the priority service. The offer is a decision within 15 working days (3 weeks) and the fee is £573.

The Home Office has confirmed that they aim to reintroduce priority visa services at the point of application for new family visa applicants in early 2023.
