New Level 1 users are now required to provide their National Insurance number

The Home Office has announced that all Skilled Worker sponsors would now be obligated to provide a National Insurance Number for Level 1 users when adding one to their licence from 19 June 2023.

This applies not only to new Level 1 users, but also to existing Level 1 users when they update their personal details. The Home Office warns that failing to do so could result in a negative outcome for their request.

Updates to National Insurance Numbers will be reflected immediately on the SMS, unless there are other changes to details that cannot be applied automatically.

Later this year, we are expecting a similar process to be introduced for Authorising Officers (AO) and Key Contacts (KC). Therefore, the Home Office is encouraging all Level 1 users to add their National Insurance Number as well as that of their AO and KC.
